We specialise in Home Network setup and configuration to help you understand what you have in your house, and how to be safe when connecting to the Internet using the devices in your home.
We offer a Home Network Health Check to see how your home is doing and if anything can be changed to improve your ease of use and ensure your family are as safe as can be when using the Internet.

Home Network “Health Check”

SECURE NETWORK EQUIPMENT
We will do a full check-up of your network security equipment, and make sure everything is using strong passwords, and running the latest updates.
WiFi Security
If possible, we will test your home WiFi network, and optimise it to ensure it is not overlapping with neighbours’ WiFi channels, which can cause interference and slowness to your WiFi experience. We will check your WiFi configuration and make sure everything is secure and up to date. If desired, we can enable a Guest Network on your Router, that will allow guest Internet access, but keep them separated from devices on your home network. This is dependent on the capabilities of your Router.
Home PCs and Laptops
We will check that your computers are up to date with the latest security patches, and we can also update them to the latest OS, if desired. We will do a full anti-virus and anti-malware check on all of your PCs and laptops. We will also make sure that all your devices that have a built-in firewall, and anti-virus software is turned on, and set on a weekly schedule.
We will also advise you on what anti-virus software package to get, if you want a little extra security on your devices.

Nowadays, we need to change the ways we create passwords to protect ourselves from hackers. Imagine if someone got control of your email account. They could then reset the passwords for all of your other accounts, as they all send the “Forgot Your Password” reset to your email account.
We will offer advice on how to create strong, secure passwords for your accounts, and even advise and show how to use a password manager, if you have a lot of passwords to remember.
Security Report
Based on the information we gather from the “Health Check-up”, we will provide you with a report, stating any recommended hardware or software improvements that can be made to your home network to improve security, your experience, and ease of use with your network.
